What to expect here — and what not to

The Adjara launches are low: 250–300 metres above sea level. That is a fundamentally different format from the mountains, and we say so plainly: the flight here is short, 5–7 minutes on the standard package and 12–15 on the extended one.

What you get in exchange exists nowhere else in our programme — the Black Sea, subtropical greenery and the line of the Adjara coast. In summer everything here is in flower in a way the mountains never are.

Who it suits

• Anyone on a beach holiday who does not want to drive into the mountains.
• Anyone nervous about heights: it is lower and calmer here than in the Caucasus.
• Anyone who has already flown Gudauri and wants an entirely different picture.

Prices

Three packages. Subtropics — there is no winter season as a separate product here, so the price list runs all year.

Paramotor

We also fly paramotor in Adjara — a powered wing that takes off from flat ground and does not depend on a slope or on thermals. Prices and durations are quoted on request: message us on WhatsApp or Telegram.

Getting there

Batumi is a destination in its own right, not a day trip from Tbilisi.

• By air — direct flights into Batumi from Tbilisi and from abroad; the airport is close to the city.
• By train — the fast service from Tbilisi, about 5 hours, the most relaxed option.
• By car — around 6 hours on the highway via Kutaisi.

If you fly your own wing

This page is about tandem flying: as a passenger, with no experience and no kit of your own. If you have your own wing and came for the routes, you want a different section — XC trips across Georgia.

What is already inside the price

In Gudauri a cable car takes you to launch, and it sits right by the village. That does not work here: the launches are a long way from any settlement, and you get there in our 4x4s — or on foot with an instructor. That is included; there is no separate line for the drive up.

We arrange the flying permit for the zone as well, and that is in the package too. You cannot simply turn up with your own wing and fly in Georgia — but a tandem passenger never has to think about it.

One honest note about the weather

We fly to the forecast, not to a timetable. We confirm the flying zone the day before, once the forecast is in.

Getting to where the air is working today is always easier than waiting for the weather to arrive where it is not. And we tell you in advance, not at the launch.

We do not guarantee the flight at this exact location: we choose the site by the weather and confirm it 24 hours before. About 95 % of flyable days are in Gudauri. Transfer is not included; you can come by your own or a rental car.
Gudauri has a unique microclimate, which is why most flights take place there; we can arrange a transfer, or you can come on your own.

Deposit and cancellation

A 95 GEL / €35 deposit per person confirms the booking and is part of the flight price, not an addition to it. The balance is paid on site, cash or card. Price on request — our manager confirms availability and price for your date. All payments are in Georgian lari.

One exception — when we are the ones who cannot fly

The go/no-go call is made by the senior instructor. It is final and it is made on safety grounds only — not on the schedule and not on demand.

1. We offer a free reschedule to a date and time that suit both you and us.
2. If the reschedule does not suit either side — we refund the deposit less the transfer fee and any services already rendered.

The refund goes back by the same method you paid with, which is why the bank transfer fee is deducted. Processing takes 5–10 working days. A free reschedule is offered in this case only: when the weather will not let the flight happen.

What counts as a cancellation on your side

• you cancelled the booking;
• you did not arrive on time — you need to be there 30 minutes before the booked activity starts;
• you declined to take part on site, or did not meet the stated requirements (weight, health).

We say this plainly because it is fairer both ways. Once the drive is paid for, a pilot has no reason to "give it a go anyway" in doubtful air. And that reason is exactly where the bad stories in our sport come from.
