Weather-driven cross-country trips and real coaching — led by Anatolii Mykhailiuta, who holds the Caucasus distance records in three disciplines. Georgia is our home. The rest of the world is where we take you next.
Most trips sell you a place on a map. We sell you the best realistic flying window your group can get — and the people who make it count. Here is exactly what that means, in plain language, before any money moves.
The instructors · a flight · and your distance goal.
Not a fixed launch. Not a guaranteed flight. We chase the weather: if it flies, we fly. Whether you fly — and how far — depends on the conditions, your level and your willingness to learn. We teach; you fly.
Surfers chase the wave. XC pilots chase the air. That flexibility is the product — not a broken itinerary.
These trips are for licensed, independent pilots with their own wing who can launch, thermal and land on their own. If you want a first flight as a passenger, that's our tandem page — and if you want to become a pilot, start with the basic course.
Twenty-five years of flying — and not just hours in a logbook. Anatolii Mykhailiuta holds the Caucasus distance records in three disciplines, set in Georgia, on the same terrain the flagship trip flies. Every track is public on XContest. Go ahead and check.

★ Caucasus Record Holder
A pilot other pilots call a legend. Caucasus record holder in three disciplines, Paragliding World Cup podium finisher, and a genuine multi-discipline mountain athlete — hike & fly, ski, run, skydive. Flying is roughly 80% of his life. He is the senior instructor on our trips, he makes the final call on whether the group flies, and he is the one who will teach you.
Competitions, records, routes and expeditions on Instagram · expedition films and the full "Learn to fly a paraglider" lesson series on YouTube. He teaches publicly — you can see exactly how he explains before you book.
Anatolii's brother — calm, patient, more coach than competitor. If this is your first big cross-country, he is the one you want on the radio. Certified instructor, bilingual RU / EN.
Led by the two brothers, backed by a network of top cross-country pilots working across our destinations. All bilingual Russian / English, university-educated — English that is live and clear enough to teach you where and how to fly.
Come for distance and we'll work towards it: your first hundred, then two hundred, then three. Tasks are matched to the group, with short, base and extended options so nobody is bored and nobody is abandoned 100 km down course.
The one that changes how you see the sky. Thermal reading, staying up when it goes quiet, committing to the next climb, and the decisions that keep a flight alive past the second hour.
Line choice across terrain, valley wind and convergence, glide management, transitions, and reading a day well enough to know where the air will be working in two hours' time.
Closing triangles, FAI geometry, task planning against the forecast, and the discipline of turning back into wind when everything in you wants to run downwind.
Anatolii publishes a full lesson series on YouTube — watch how he teaches before you decide.
"Learn to fly a paraglider" — full seriesEvery morning starts the same way and ends somewhere different. This is a normal flying day on one of our trips.
That flexibility is what makes the trip work. There is no guarantee of flyable weather and no guarantee of distance: paragliding has inherent risk and no operator can promise airtime. Our job is professional preparation, local knowledge and good decisions that remove the avoidable uncertainty.
Georgia is what we do. The records were set here, the terrain is ours, and the whole season is built around it. When Georgia is out of season, the same guides fly worldwide with the Academy.
April and May are the big-distance months in the Caucasus. Long days, strong thermals and the terrain where the records were set. Everything here is ours: apartments, vehicles, guides.
Already in Georgia with your own wing? Take a guide by the day — one guide, one to three pilots (VIP — from a single pilot), the Gudauri and Kazbegi launches, no group departure. €300 / €500 / €800 per day for 1 / 2 / 3 pilots, any number of days (3 days — €900 / €1,500 / €2,400; 7 days — €2,100 / €3,500 / €5,600); from four pilots the group rate — €200 per pilot per day. Prices per group; 30% deposit, the rest on site; no hidden fees.
When Georgia is out of season the same guides run XC trips abroad — the Balkans, southern Europe, Central Asia and South America — under the SkyAtlantida Paragliding Academy. Same people, same rules, a different sky.
Svaneti, Gudauri and the high Caucasus. Big mountain air, long days and the widest choice of valleys when one area shuts down.

Our signature trip: a moving cross-country expedition across Georgia, following the best air of the week. Autumn air, autumn light, our own everything.

We fly in Georgia all winter, but the thermals are weak and routes do not build. The honest answer: winter here is tandem and free flying over the snow, not cross-country. For distance in December–March, go abroad.

No serious operator can guarantee flyable weather. We use local knowledge, forecasts and flexible routing to maximise realistic flying. If conditions are unsuitable, the guide changes the area, the timing or the task — or decides not to fly. Safety comes before the schedule, every time.
That's exactly why our trips are flexible — we're not attached to one launch. We move towards the best suitable window when format and logistics allow: a different launch, valley, region, or even country. The final site and task always depend on real conditions and the group's level.
Our price is calculated for a minimum of four pilots. If we don't reach four you can (a) keep waiting while the group forms, (b) join the group that did form on similar dates, or (c) take your deposit back. You can also run your exact destination privately by covering the four-pilot minimum. In Georgia there is one more door — the VIP format by the day: €300 / €500 / €800 per day for 1 / 2 / 3 pilots, and from four pilots the group rate of €200 per pilot per day; the price per pilot drops as the group grows. We never move you without your agreement — no surprises after the deposit. Please don't buy flight tickets to a country until we confirm the group.
Minimum four paying pilots, maximum eight. We keep groups small deliberately, so the guide actually knows each pilot's level and goals instead of shuttling people launch to launch.
You should be an independent pilot with your own wing who can launch, thermal and land safely on your own. Beyond that we match pilots on total and recent airtime, thermal independence, mountain and XC experience, wing class and time on it, SIV, competition background and trip goals. Not there yet? Start with the basic or advanced XC course.
We form reasonably compatible groups so neither progressing nor strong pilots feel they're on the wrong trip. Levels are never identical, but we minimise the gap and daily tasks come with shorter and extended options. Nobody should spend the week waiting, and nobody should be abandoned 100 km down course.
That's the goal we work towards — not a promise. Distance depends on the weather window, your level and your decisions in the air. What we do guarantee is the preparation: forecast analysis, task selection, briefing, live coordination, retrieve, and a proper track debrief afterwards so the next flight is better than the last.
Guiding format: coaching and guiding, forecast analysis and site selection, the day's task and briefings, transport up to launch (vehicle, 4x4 or cable car — fuel and lift included), retrieve from wherever you land, every move along the trip's route — from the moment we meet at Café Bar PILOT until the trip ends, flying permits within Georgia, live tracking where available, debriefs and track analysis, theory, and organisation and support on the ground. Guiding + Stay — all of that plus twin/shared accommodation for the whole trip, a supplement of €330–440 depending on length. Not included: meals, getting to the meeting point, airport transfers both ways, international flights, insurance, launch/landing/park fees, flying permits outside Georgia — quoted separately and depending on the country the trip runs in, tandem flights at the locations — paid separately at the location price list, personal equipment and visa, and optional activities (quads, buggies, snowmobiles, rafting, horse riding, tours) which have their own price list. Anything you want to add beyond the trip — an airport transfer, an excursion, an extra activity — we arrange on request and quote separately. On the Guiding format accommodation is not included either.
Two steps. First, a 30% deposit by transfer — for example €567 at the €1,890 Guiding price — against an invoice the manager sends you on WhatsApp, Telegram or email. That secures your place, and it is non-refundable unless you cancel more than 60 days before the start, in which case we return it minus the bank transfer charge. Second, the remaining 70% on arrival: day one, at the meeting point, before flying starts, in cash or by bank transfer — whichever suits you. Nothing is due in between. We quote in EUR and invoice only after the manager confirms price, group status and terms.
Insurance is mandatory and must explicitly cover paragliding, minimum €100,000, with repatriation. For remote or big-mountain trips you also need search and rescue, helicopter rescue, medevac, altitude limits and country cover. Equipment: wing, harness, reserve, helmet, vario/GPS, phone, radio, charging and suitable clothing. Remote trips add a satellite messenger or tracker, power bank and emergency kit. The final list is trip-specific.
Russian and English. Our instructors are native Russian speakers with university education and live working English — clear and sufficient for teaching where and how to fly. Briefings and debriefs run in whichever language the group needs. If you're a Russian-speaking pilot, this is your natural home; most international operators can't offer that.
It depends on the format. On Guiding you book your own room — deliberately, because a pilot who picks his own room never ends up in one he hates, and we tell you where the group usually stays, exactly as it is done at competitions. On Guiding + Stay we book it, for a supplement of €330–440 per trip. You get to the country and to the meeting point yourself either way, though we can arrange the transfer separately — in a group the car is split between you. Everything that moves you around the flying is always included: transport up to launch, retrieve from wherever you land, and every move along the trip's route — from the moment we meet at Café Bar PILOT until the trip ends. In Georgia the vehicles are ours and in Gudauri the accommodation is ours too, so there we can arrange any of it as a paid extra.
There's always something to do — in every country, not only Georgia. We arrange it, but activities like quad bikes, buggies, snowmobiles (Georgia in April), rafting, horse riding and local tours are optional paid extras on their own price list. They're not part of the flying price. Flight debriefs, theory and the coaching programme are what your trip includes. In Georgia everything is ours so we offer the most; elsewhere it partly depends on our local partners.
Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram. Our AI manager qualifies your level, dates and goals, answers everything and checks current group status. Once the manager confirms the trip you get an invoice, pay the 30% deposit by transfer, and your place is confirmed and entered in the calendar. The remaining 70% you pay on arrival — cash or bank transfer, whichever suits you. From there the team takes over — and Anatolii sees your file before the trip.
Every enquiry goes to our AI manager on WhatsApp or Telegram. It qualifies you properly, answers everything, and hands you to the team the moment you're ready to pay.
Tell us your dates and your goal. We'll tell you honestly which destination and which group fits you — and if nothing fits this season, we'll say that too. We reply in about 30 minutes, 9 AM – 9 PM GMT+4, daily.
